Follow us in our travels Day <previous> <1-10> <11-20> <21> <22> <23> <24> <25-26> <27-29> <30> <31-40> <next> Day 25-26 The fellows travel to Southampton: The fellows packed all of their belongings and left their home in London, the Nuffield at the Royal College of Surgeons for good. Both Mr. David Jones and Mr. David Adams were present for the send off and heartfelt farewells were shared. The fellows were greeted at Southampton by two former ABC fellows, Mr. David Barrett and Mr. Nick Clarke and were transported to Southampton General Hospital. In the morning, the fellows had a highly interactive session with the registrars where a number of interesting and challenging caseswere presented. After lunch the fellows participated in an exciting scientific program which included a number of outstanding papers from the faculty that included original basic science and clinical research. Kurt presented his work on growth factors in ligament healing; Regis presented his work on the growth plate; and Paul presented in results on revision hip arthroplasty. In the early evening the fellows went to the Lainston House Hotel where they spent the night and shared dinner with the staff from the Southampton General Hospital. The Lainston House is an old English home situated in picturesque countryside and was the perfect locale for a festive evening. Regis presented a toast on behalf of the fellows.
